Dave Valentine serves as the President of Esys Automation. Dave leads Esys with a diverse expertise in manufacturing automation and 20+ years in the industry. As a Clemson graduate, Dave also utilizes his engineering background to shape the technical direction of Esys solutions. When away from work, Dave enjoys spending time outdoors with his three children.

Chris Marcus, CEO
Chris Marcus serves as the CEO of Esys Automation and focuses his efforts on “what’s next” for Esys. With a 20+ year background in paint and assembly automation, he has helped lead Esys to be twice recognized by Inc. 500 magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in America. Outside of Esys, he enjoys family activities such as boating and snow skiing with his wife and their two children.
Scott Claxton, Vice President
Scott Claxton serves Esys Automation as Vice President of the Production Systems division. He is responsible for the design and manufacturing activities for turnkey automated solutions. Scott is a founding member of the Esys Automation team with over 18 years of experience and has been a key contributor to developing the Esys operational philosophies and culture. When away from the office, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years and their three daughters. He is also an avid reader, enjoys playing beer league hockey and likes to fish.
Kevin Gaines, Vice President
Kevin Gaines serves Esys Automation as Vice President of the Automation Design division. He utilizes his 25+ years of experience in final assembly plants in order to oversee this group. This division was started by Kevin in July of 2000, shortly after the founding of Esys. Away from the office, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and beer league hockey.
Dave Beattie, Account Manager
Dave Beattie serves Esys as an Account Manager for the Paint and Dispense division. In his 20+ years’ experience, Dave has spent a majority of it executing large automation projects and working hand in hand with customers. Today, Dave works with Esys’ customers to plan and implement sophisticated automated systems including all installation and construction facets of the projects.
Bryan Blunk, Group Manager
Bryan Blunk is the Group Manager for the Automation Design – Controls division at Esys Automation. He brings 20+ years of experience in designing, installing and programming various controls systems ranging from Energy Management Systems, HVAC and Powerhouse Equipment as well as Body Assembly Manufacturing Systems. He has extensive experience in Underbody, Framing, Bodysides and Closure Body Shop Processes and has implemented numerous systems utilizing the latest DeviceNet, EtherNet IP and Safety PLC Architectures. Currently, Bryan is responsible for co-managing, along with Matt Cagle and Mark McGinnis, a very talented group of approximately 50 engineers.

Craig Brooks, Account Manager
Craig Brooks serves Esys as an Account Manager for the Paint and Dispense division. Craig has over 25 years of experience in the automotive field, primarily focusing on paint and sealing applications. Craig is an expert at working with customers to develop budgets and strategies to successfully implement automation.
Matt Cagle, Group Manager
Matt Cagle is the Group Manager for the Automation Design – Controls division at Esys Automation. Matt has 10+ years of experience in designing, building, installing, and programming automated systems. He has also managed multi-disciplined engineering and installation teams for projects in many automotive manufacturing facilities. Matt takes pride in building trust and lasting relationships with his customers and suppliers that benefit all involved. His current focus is co-managing, along with Bryan Blunk and Mark McGinnis, a group of approximately 50 engineers that take on our controls engineering and design service efforts. Outside of Esys, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Mark Compton, Director
Mark Compton serves as the Director of Intellectual Property and Products. Mark lead a talented group of individuals responsible for winning an Automotive News PACE award. Over the past 22 years, Mark has become an industry expert in automated systems. He utilizes this experience in a range of engineering disciplines to lead product development efforts and to manage Esys’s product portfolio. Throughout his career, he has helped develop a wide variety of new products, such as TPM antenna systems, AutoW8t, pick to light applications, various automotive parts and more. Mark has a BSME from Lawrence Technological University.
Carlos Cruz, Account Manager
Carlos Cruz serves Esys as an Account Manager for the Assembly division. Carlos left Caracas, Venezuela in 2001 to pursue an Electrical Engineering degree at Western Michigan University. Over the past 10+ years, Carlos has successfully managed projects in the Body Assembly, Paint, and General Assembly divisions with emphasis on providing great service and exceeding customer expectations. Added to the account management team in 2013, Carlos focuses on working with Esys’s customers to provide the best possible solution while identifying ways to add value to Esys’s core offerings. Outside of Esys, he is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. With interest in continuous learning, Carlos completed a Master of Business Administration at Northeastern University in 2015.

Ed Loder is the Manufacturing Manager at Esys Automation. Having a background in Journeyman Electrician, Ed has spent the last 15 years managing the construction and integration of automated machinery in the Automotive Industry. When away from Esys, I enjoy cooking, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Mark McGinnis, Group Manager
Mark McGinnis is the Group Manager for the Press and Plastics Group. Mark has 20+ years of experience in Manufacturing Automation. Safety and customer satisfaction have always been his main goal. He strives to develop efficient, valued engineering, and a lasting customer relationship. “The thrill for me is working with others in the industry who are equally passionate about providing quality-manufacturing systems in a Team atmosphere.”
Randy Parzych, Director
Randy Parzych is the Director of the Paint and Dispense division. He leads a diverse team of individuals that designs, builds, and installs turnkey robotic systems. Randy has over 25 years of experience in robotic automation systems and has a passion for developing new and innovative products to meet the ever changing needs of customers. He has extensive experience leading projects and teams in the automotive paint and sealer industry from design concept through implementation on the plant floor. When away from the office Randy enjoys fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
Craig Ulrich, Director
Craig Ulrich is Director of the Assembly division at Esys. He leads a group of talented individuals responsible for deploying automation systems for Assembly and Powertrain; working on Hardware and Software design, MES systems, and full turnkey solutions. This group specializes in turnkey Tire & Wheel assembly lines and has developed multiple innovations in Vision, Tracking and Traceability, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and the highlight of this group is winning a 2012 Automotive PACE award for the development of a robotic applied adhesive wheel weight. With 25 years of Automotive manufacturing experience, Craig has a passion for solving customer requirements with flexible solutions using the collective talent of his team.
